Enterprise application

Employee recognition platform

Application architecture & end-to-end development

I built this enterprise platform from scratch: the application, AI writing integration, APIs, sign-in, and infrastructure.

Built from scratch
  1. Web interface
  2. Flask API
  3. PostgreSQL
Read details: Employee recognition platformEmployee recognition platformClose details
Project context
An enterprise application where employees write and submit recognition messages. I designed and built the system from scratch. Its AI writing assistant generates a draft that the employee can revise in their own voice before submitting.
Requirements & constraints
The application had to connect an employee-facing interface, AI services, enterprise identity, and existing communication tools. Sign-in and access needed to follow enterprise security requirements, while employees retained control of the final message.
My contribution
  1. Application

Built the frontend with HTML, CSS, and TypeScript, a Python Flask backend, and a PostgreSQL database.

  2. AI writing

Implemented recognition submissions and connected AI services through backend APIs, with an editable draft before the employee submits a message.

  3. Identity

Configured company single sign-on with Microsoft Entra ID and application access controls.

  4. Operations

Set up application hosting, monitoring, and backups to support ongoing operation.

  5. Integrations

Integrated the platform with Outlook, Slack, and Microsoft Teams.

What I delivered
Delivered a complete recognition platform, owning application development, AI integration, identity configuration, API implementation, and the infrastructure supporting it.

Annual compensation platform

Business systems analyst & contributing developer

Led business analysis from discovery through delivery, aligned stakeholder priorities, and contributed application fixes.

Led discovery through delivery
  1. Requirements
  2. Delivery
  3. Validation
Read details: Annual compensation platformAnnual compensation platformClose details
Project context
An internal platform supporting annual compensation decisions and pay changes. As the business systems analyst, I connected compensation stakeholders with the development team throughout delivery. The platform combines a React interface, a database layer, and a Workday integration.
Requirements & constraints
The project involved sensitive compensation data and competing stakeholder priorities. Business requirements needed to remain clear as the application evolved, and the delivered behavior had to match the agreed workflows.
My contribution
  1. Discovery

Led requirements discovery with stakeholders, clarified business needs, and aligned priorities for the platform.

  2. Delivery

Coordinated delivery with the developer, translating stakeholder needs into implementation requirements and resolving questions throughout the build.

  3. Validation

Reviewed application behavior against the agreed requirements and worked with the developer to address gaps.

  4. Code contributions

Contributed code fixes and issue resolution alongside my primary responsibility for business analysis.

What I delivered
Owned the business-analysis work from initial discovery through delivery, maintaining alignment between stakeholder priorities and implementation while contributing development support.

Internal development automation

GitLab issue-to-code automation

Workflow implementation & review

Built an automation that routes GitLab issues to a coding agent and returns merge requests for human review.

Automated the issue workflow
  1. GitLab issue
  2. Agent & MR
  3. My review

Project context
An automation that takes an issue from GitLab, sends it to an internal coding agent, and produces a merge request containing the proposed code change. I review that change before it becomes part of the application.
Requirements & constraints
Agent-generated changes needed an explicit review boundary before entering the application. I assessed functionality and regression risk before deciding whether to merge each request.
My contribution
  1. Issue intake

Built automation to retrieve issues from GitLab and pass the work to an internal coding agent.

  2. Agent implementation

Used the agent's specialized skills and automations to address the issues and create merge requests.

  3. Human review

Reviewed the resulting changes for functionality and regressions before deciding whether to merge.

What I delivered
Created an issue-to-merge-request workflow with a human decision at the merge step. The agent handles the proposed implementation; I remain responsible for reviewing the change.

Personal market-data dashboard

Independent design & development

Built a Python data pipeline, JavaScript dashboard, and Discord alerts around an external market-data API.

Built the data pipeline
  1. Market API
  2. Python
  3. Dashboard
Read details: Personal market-data dashboardPersonal market-data dashboardClose details
Project context
A personal tool to gather market information, display scanner results in a dashboard, and deliver alerts to a Discord server.
Requirements & constraints
The data pipeline needed to account for API rate limits, parse incoming data, and make the results usable across a dashboard and alerts.
My contribution
  1. Data pipeline

Connected the Polygon.io API and built the Python logic for collecting and processing market data.

  2. Interface & alerts

Built a JavaScript and CSS dashboard to display scanner outputs and connected alerts to Discord.

  3. Reliability

Handled data parsing, API rate limits, and pipeline logic, using Claude, Cursor, and Codex for AI-assisted development.

What I delivered
Built a personal monitoring workflow connecting an external API, a data pipeline, a web interface, and notifications.
